Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

I was in the mood for a chocolate peanutbutter cup so I decided to make a Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream. It turned out pretty good the chocolate ice cream was made from dark chocolate which gave it a rich textures. The peanut butter was the natural peanut butter, it got kind of hard during the freezing process so it wasn't as scoopable as I would like. Oh well live and learn. It was still good to eat!!

  1. Bao,

I'm trying to picture this one- are you adding the peanut butter in small globs like with cookie dough ice cream, or swirling it into the chocolate? I'm thinking if you are having a hard time with it getting too firm, then maybe the small globs are the way to go... Sounds good, though.

  2. Cathy,

You are correct I tried to add the peanut butter as small globs. But the natural peanut butter got super hard while the ice cream was softer so it was a bit of a contrast when you took a spoonful. I might try a different type of PB next time.

  3. We enjoyed this one very much! The chocolate ice cream was yummy - creamy with just enough chocolate flavor. The peanut butter chunks were a little big maybe try peanut butter chips. But hey I'm not complaining, it was still GOOD :). We'll gladly try any test batches!
